Participants will learn about the purpose and scope of Behavior Redirectors, including their role in the prevention and de-escalation of student behavior. The session will cover tools and resources used by Behavior Redirectors to establish rapport, use daily check-ins, and how to apply calming strategies with students that present challenging behaviors. Through case studies, attendees will gain insight to the Behavior Redirector role. The session is best suited for those that have been in the role for one day to one year. Those not familiar with the role may also attend.
