Work Smarter Not Harder: Developing Effective IEP Goals to Target Decoding and/or Writing

This session will guide participants in considering key concepts students need instructionally for decoding, reading fluency and writing. Additionally, participants will be provided with exemplar goals that align to students’ needs. Participants will be given time to explore current IEP goals of students they serve and will be able to collaboratively plan on the instruction and progress monitoring that will support these goals.

We all want to create meaningful change, but we can't do it alone—or by doing everything ourselves. This session is a deep dive into the "who" and "how" of our collective work. Teams will experience a collaborative mapping process to identify where their strengths overlap and where critical gaps exist. You’ll learn to identify the ten essential roles of social change and how to activate them within your own school site. Using the Social Change Ecosystem framework, this session helps individuals and teams clarify their values, align values with actions, and build a more interconnected, effective ecosystem that lasts.
