About me
My name is Priscilla Del Aguila. I am a National Board's Certified teacher with 11 years of Middle and High School school experience at Albuquerque Public Schools. Endorsed in Social Studies, TESOL, and Health. I work at Rio Grande High School, as the IMPAC and Personal Finance teacher. My commitment to education extends beyond the classroom. I’ve proudly represented my school at the 2023 Innovating Schools Summit in San Antonio. I served as the Social Studies Department lead and Instructional Council Representative. As a guest speaker at the NMPED Literacy and Humanities Convening in 2023/24, I shared insights on how to empower youth through instruction and utilizing technology in the classroom. Beyond education, I’m a deeply involved in out ABQ Hip Hop scene. I am a community leader, professional B-girl (Break Dance Girl), and member of the all-female crew, the Zia Queens. I travel nationally, proudly representing New Mexico in Breakin' competitions. At the Dancing Turtle, ABQ’s premier Breaking Studio, I contribute to building the mind, body, and spirit of Albuquerque’s youth through the art of Breaking.
