APS Rising Educator Summit 2026

Participants will plan for their first few days of school. They will:
Create class norms
Set expectations for classroom behavior
Establish class routines and procedures
Produce a script to introduce themselves to their students
Plan one academic activity (for the first day of school)
Plan one engaging, enthusiasm generating activity
Develop a tight lesson plan for Day One
Develop loose lesson plans for Days 2-5
Establish lesson plan planning routines
Establish a classroom discipline philosophy
Practice using positive statements to change student behavior
